Reconstructing Women International
The UBC Medicine Vancouver Chapter of Reconstructing Women International (RWI) is a non-profit organization based in Vancouver, Canada. Led by a group of UBC students, the organization provides essential surgery and treatment to women worldwide who have undergone breast reconstruction surgery and lack access to safe medical care. They work closely with medical professionals and volunteers, advocating for improved access to breast reconstruction services and actively engaging in global surgery initiatives. The UBC Medical School Vancouver Chapter supports RWI's mission through fundraising events and raising awareness.

Global Reach
The Global Reach program is our longest running initiative. At the UBC Medicine Vancouver Chapter of Reconstructing Women International, we work closely with medical professionals and volunteers, advocating for improved access to breast reconstruction services and actively engaging in global surgery initiatives. Our global surgery projects make a real difference in the lives of women worldwide.

Education
The UBC Medicine Vancouver Chapter of Reconstructing Women International is dedicated to putting our community first. Our Education program provides a much-needed service for those in dire need. Empowering Women
We see every challenge as an opportunity, and our Empowering Women initiative helps the UBC Medicine Vancouver Chapter of Reconstructing Women International ensure that those we serve are better prepared to persevere in the unique situations they find themselves in. We work closely with medical professionals and volunteers to provide essential surgery and treatment to women worldwide who have undergone breast reconstruction surgery and lack access to safe medical care.
Capacity Building
Through our Capacity Building program, we have the potential to make real and positive change. This is one of our key areas of focus here at the UBC Medicine Vancouver Chapter of Reconstructing Women International, and a source of much success for our Medical Research Organization.
